SAR - Towed vehicle with side scan sonar

SAR is a 6000 m rated towed vehicle which carries a side scan sonar. It is positively buoyant and is linked via a tether to a dead weight at the end of the towing cable. The immersion of the dead weight is controlled by reeling up and down the towing cable. All signals and power supply are fed to the vehicle via the towing cable.
