ELDS - Electric Drive System for rockets

In comparison with conventional systems of hydraulic type, ECA’s electrical system improves drastically the system performance in respect of elevation and azimuth speed. Therefore it reduces the necessary time spent in the field during combat action.

The new system uses the same batteries (power source) as the conventional hydraulic system. Therefore it can be easily installed on existing rocket systems without modification.
The electrical solution decreases significantly the through-life-costs (time of immobilisation, number of interventions and number of spare parts) in comparison with conventional systems.
