POLYGONE CAP FERRAT - Variable Immersion Base for deep water acoustic range of Cap Ferrat

This acoustic range is located about 3.5 km south of Cap Ferrat in the Mediterranean Sea, at 700 metres depths. The Variable Immersion Base allows the acquisition data for measuring acoustic signature of ships and submarines.

This Immersion base is composed of:
• a line of hydrophones 5,
• an acoustic area,
• an underwater acquisition data unit,
• A system to vary the depth of the base,
• A cable to land,
• the anchor of the system.
